You can't beat $20. The woodsman is excellently constructed. I found a couple minor stains on the finish of the blade, but they don't affect my overall opinion of the blade, and could very well be a fluke. From what I discovered through researching this particular knife before buying, the blade steel is 440c, which also appears to be the case upon having inspected it in person. It's also a full-tang construction. My only real issue with the knife is the tiniest movement of the brass hand guard. I'm talking 1/32 of an inch at most and the movement is only slightly side-to-side, but taking into account the sturdy construction of the rest of the knife, it stands out as the only issue. I don't actually expect it to present a problem during heavy use and it also appears to be well-constructed, regardless of the movement. If it bothers you, I'm sure the issue could be easily remedied. This is easily a $45 value as far as material, construction and practicality are concerned. If you have the money, you won't regret it and if you're considering a more expensive knife, try this one out first. You can't be disappointed (unless you don't like 440c). As well, the knife came razor sharp from the box. I've read that people have been disappointed with the sheath being "cheaply made" but I got far more for the money than I expected. The seller was expedient(used amazon prime) and it is the cheapest I can find it anywhere on the internet through this seller. Do yourself a favor and shell out the cash. Even if it happens to disappoint you, you only lost out on $20. But I don't expect anyone to be disappointed, either.
